Spruce Meadows initiated its education program in 1976 and has grown immensely over time.  They have also partnered with local businesses to form an educational field trip program which is designed to give the youth of America the opportunity to have an interactive and in depth look at a variety of animals including horses, insects, birds, reptiles, and amphibians as well as their breeding and nesting grounds.

Spruce Meadows was approved by the Calgary Board of Education as an “A” Off-Site Activity for students.

Fall and winter at Spruce Meadows offers visitors a variety of fun events. During the month of October, they offer free, complimentary parking at which time they host their most popular indoor tournaments. Christmas markets and festivities are also a part of the Spruce Meadow fall and winter experience as well.
