While Elbow Park is still a great place to live, it is no longer in the top spot for luxury neighbourhoods in Calgary. Here are the top three luxury communities in Calgary.

Hillhurst & West Hillhurst

These two inner city neighbourhoods can be found in the Northwest corner of Calgary. The east side of Hillhurst is bounded by 14th street. Everything west of 19th street is considered West Hillhurst. Hillhurst has been around since the 1900's. That makes it one of the oldest communities in Calgary.

Aspen Woods

Aspen Woods was established in 2001 and is located in Southwest Calgary. It is enclosed by 4 different streets: 17th Avenue SW, 69th Street SW, Bow Trail SW and 85th Street SW. The high end luxury real estate in this neighbourhood has been recently developed and it shows.

Some of the amenities you will have access to include coffee shops, restaurants, clothing stores, a pharmacy and so much more.

Altadore Garrison Woods

Altadore Garrison Woods is considered prime real estate and is highly sought after. Even though the homes are considered higher end luxury, they are more affordable than the homes in other areas.

There are a lot of great amenities here including public schools, private schools, golf courses, restaurants, fitness facilities and several shopping areas. You will also be in close proximity to Alberta Children's Hospital and Rockyview General Hospital.

The average home price in the Altadore area is $1,355,110. The average price of a condo is just under that at $806,983.
