Things to do at Olympic Park in Calgary

Olympic Park has become a well-known site for several activities and has become home to several year round activities. For those of you who are more of a sports enthusiast this is going to be right up your alley. With so many things to do you'll find yourself frequenting this place and doing something different all the time. Here are just a few of the many things you can partake in while visiting Olympic Park.

Mountain Biking

One great way to get the heart pumping while seeing the beautiful and picturesque scenery is with biking. There are 11 bike trails to be exact allowing you to pick a different one each day. There are chairlifts that can take you to some of the more challenging bike trails allowing you to see some of the best views as compared to the lower level bike trails you can also take advantage of. There are trails for all skill levels allowing you to work your way up.

Zipline

This is one of those activities where you either do it or you don't. You can't stop midway through going across the line and decide you can't do it. What a way to see all that Olympic Park has to offer! You can soar from the highest point in Calgary and this has become known as one of the fastest ziplines in North America. You can find yourself reaching speeds as fast as 120-140 kilometres per hour!

Hall of Fame

While this isn't directly connected to Olympic Park it's still a great place to consider checking out. This is a sports museum which is great for the sports enthusiast as you enjoy over 40,000 square feet of buildings that promote the importance of sports and how it has shaped the world we live in today.

There are a lot of fun exhibits that date back to when sports were first created allowing you to see how things have drastically changed. There are simulations and one is the Be a Catcher and there is also one Be a Goalie.

No matter what your interests are there is something here for everyone from bobsleighing, to ziplining, and even cross country skiing. Take advantage of all there is to see and do in Calgary.
