Restaurant Spotlight: Vero Bistro Moderne

Located on 210th street in Calgary is a fabulous eating establishment called Vero Bistro Moderne. Breakfast is served Tuesday through Friday 10am to 2pm. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday 10am to 2pm, and dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday 5pm to closing time. They are closed on Monday.
What to Expect
They offer their interpretation of French and Italian foods perfectly created just for you. Chef Jenny believes in staying true to authentic cuisine. She has explored and learned about the wonderful spices and dishes of Spain, France, and Italy. Chef Jenny is excited about the new and tantalizing menu changes that are coming.
The restaurant will be closed from August 31st to September 23rd. On September 24th guests will be welcome, and they will be reopening for business.
Awards and Recognition
Vero was awarded the Diner’s Choice Award in 2014. Also, Trip Advisor awarded Vero Bistro Moderne a 2015 Certificate of Excellence.
Menu Choices
Vero believes it is important to shop locally. For this reason items used on the menu are always fresh and purchased from at least six specific local farms.
Vero Bistro serves classic dishes for brunch such as Vero’s Traditional which includes amazing items such as Natural Bison Sausage, Organic Green Salad, Fresh Baked Croissant, and Homemade Fruit Jam. Also try the Sweet Potato Gnocchi and Passion Fruit French Toast.
Lunch and Dinner
Lunch time at Vero has unbelievable food choices such as Caprese Salad with fresh roasted heirloom tomatoes and homemade walnut pesto. Also try the “to die for” Arugula and Sweet Melon Salad served with a savoury lemon vinaigrette.
