Located just south of the Bow River, Rouge nests in a cozy corner at the intersection of 8 and 12 Southeast. With a garden on-site that provides many of the ingredients for the delicacies served under its roof, Rouge exemplifies the concept of farm to table. Keep reading to learn more about what this delicious restaurant has to offer you.

The Property

The entirety of the Rouge's property encompasses six lots and flourishes with trees, gardens and flowers. When dining, you can sit in one of many different areas of the house, or if weather and season permits, out on the patio or in the garden. The garden is tended by the chefs and staff, and provides a spectacular view when dining on the patio.

The Menu

The highlights of their dinner offerings are many. The playful Greens, Eggs, & Ham are a delicious combination with the rhubarb mostarda playing a sweetly tart counterpoint to the moist duck. The brown-butter poached halibut is also amazing with the herbed gnocchi cooked wonderfully.

The lunch menu also has its stars, among them the Rabbit Confit with the sweet nettle cavatelli. The seared Itsumo Tuna with pickled Hana seaweed was sublime with the peashoot salad a green crunch counterpoint to the richness of the tuna.

If you are in an adventurous mood, Rouge offers a Chef's tasting menu with a wine flight. This allows you to sample creations that you won't find on the standard menu. The optional wine pairings come in a standard and a deluxe, both of which have their merits.
